Stump changed his routine yesterday. I was surprised to see him at his lookout station on the ground in the morning (his timing was off) and tried to get a photo, but wasn't successful. Given the distance and the fact that his coloring blended perfectly with the dirt and weeds, even I couldn't find him in the picture. In the afternoon, his usual shift, he had moved up to sit on a t-post. I can't imagine that is a very comfortable seat, but there he was, intently watching for who knows what.
Paying bills is an onerous task at best, and yesterday turned into a nightmare with computer and website glitches left and right. It took several hour-long phone calls to resolve the problems (none of which, by the way, were my computer's doing). Aarrgh! I'd just finished when Cam called and said she was dropping by and I was ever so happy to turn off the danged machine and go sit on the deck and chill out. That was the only chill of the day, as we're back up in the 90s and predicted to go up from there.
It might be cheating, because these two sunset photos are from the night before. This was taken on the way down to the barn.
The girls are always ready to go to bed, so tucking them in is just a matter of opening their stalls, putting a little snack in their bowls, and shutting the gates. It doesn't take five minutes.
In that short time, the sky had changed this much. I took this one on the way back to the house.
All in all, it was just another day.
